Step-by-step Guide:

  1. PREPARATION: Completely empty the backpack and remove coarse dirt by shaking it out thoroughly. Take out the carrying frame if there is one. You can easily remove finer dirt from the inside and compartments using a vacuum cleaner. Detach any removable parts of the backpack, such as the hip belt, back system, protector, etc.

  2. RINSING: If there is dirt dried on to your backpack, you can brush this off or rinse your backpack under the shower. This helps keep the wash water clean for longer.

  3. WASHING: Rub stubborn stains with liquid gall soap and a soft brush or cloth. Let the soap sit briefly. Fill a bathtub, shower tray, or large wash basin with lukewarm water and add a suitable detergent, such as gall soap. Place the backpack in the water and let it soak.

  4. WARNING: Never use chlorine or any other aggressive detergents. These can destroy the PU coating that protects the material used in your backpack.
  5. WIPING: After soaking it for a short time, remove dirt from the inside and outside of the backpack using a soft brush or microfiber cloth.
  6. PADDED SECTIONS: Squeeze out all padded sections a few times in the water. This will get rid of any sweat marks that may be caused by salt, skin oil and sun cream.

  7. ZIPPERS: Simply clean the zippers in the water using a toothbrush.
